It’s About to Get All Sorts of Crazy….

College Football.

Oh yes, this is the big weekend. When people get nuts about their Alma Maters. It’s about to get real ugly up in here.

College Football and March Madness are my two most favorite sports seasons. And one of them is about to get started.

I’m excited to see what this season holds. Looking at the polls, I disagree with the AP Poll and find myself more in line with the USA Today poll. I think USC is being inflated (as usual) in their position. Look at their schedule. C’mon. Yawnworthy.

Michigan, Michigan State, hell, even South Carolina have tougher schedules. I’m hoping to see Trojans start out strong in the rankings and slowly slide down to where the belong… 11 or 12 and one of these other schools pump themselves up. LSU and Bama are givens… big boys who typically demolish their hefty schedules.

I am pleased that Oregon is no longer on top. Yeah, so their defense is the talk of the town, but what else could possibly be the talk of the town in Eugene, OR?? Seriously. Can you tell I’m not a fan? Want 30 more reasons to hate U of O? Here ya go.  LOL.

Sexy. http://www.treespot.blogspot.com

If Oregon fans want to claim that I am ‘just jealous’ their team is ‘better’ than mine. Just look at the facts:

OREGON:

All-time record 555–468–47 (.541)
Postseason bowl record 10–15
Claimed national titles  0
Conference titles
10 (1919, 1933, 1948, 1957, 1994, 2000, 2001, 2009, 2010, 2011)

WASHINGTON:

All-time record 668–416–50 (.611)
Postseason bowl record 16–14–1
Claimed national titles 2 (1960, 1991)[1][2]
Conference titles 15 (1916, 1919, 1925, 1936, 1959, 1960, 1963, 1977, 1980, 1981, 1990, 1991, 1992, 1995, 2000)

These hips don’t lie. And Neither do the numbers. Sorry suckas. I mean Duckas. You still have some catching up to do.

Ok, I haven’t really discussed my own team. Washington Huskies.

I don’t have any sort of expectation for them. I just will always love them and be loyal to them. Which is why I wanted to write about college football in today’s post. No matter what team you root for, the experience is one-of-a-kind. There’s nothing like college football.

UW tailgating. NBD.

If you didn’t go to a NCAA Divsion 1 football school, you can still be a part of the action- glob onto one of your crazed friends and join them for this incredible experience. One of my friends posted this video for my home team. And I love everything about it. Husky Stadium (currently under renovation) is one of the greatest places on earth to watch a game. This video gives me the chills!!

Good luck this weekend, college fans- (except Duck fans)!
